During my trip to Japan, I visited the
Fushimi Inari-Taisha shrine with their famous Bright oranges Torii gates.
Of course, the Torii gates are very impressive but what really caught my eyes there were the origami cranes! I mean I knew that origami, (from ori meaning “folding”, and kami meaning “paper”, kami changes to gami due to rendaku is the art of paper folding), comes from Japan but Knowing something and experiencing it is different!
Situated on a side Shrine, where these thousands of folded origami cranes! I think it is fair to say that in Japan, the origami craftmanship is elevated to another level! What a spectacle for my amazed eyes with admiring such a perfect folding paper technique, Let tell you that the papercraft becomes real seeing these paper garland made of thousands of paper pieces folded regularly to such perfection and the explosion of colors, were a delight to watch! If you ever go to the place, have a look to the side shine to be amazed and inspired like I was!
